BEFORE YOUR SPRAY TAN
DONTs
Deodorant - Deodorant reacts with the tanning solution, prevents your skin absorbing the tan and can turn armpits green!
Perfume - same reasons as deodorant.
Body Oils or Lotions
AFTER YOUR TAN HAS DEVELOPED (6/8 hours or 1/3 hours for the Express tan and Bondi Sands)
- PLEASE EXFOLIATE THE DAY BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT. Patchy tans occur when the skin has not been exfoliated properly.
- Shave or wax at least 24 hours before your treatment.
- Please try not to shower 'immediately' before your appointment. This can effect how your skin absorbs the tanning solution. We recommend waiting at least one hour after having a bath/shower so that your pores and Skin PH levels can return to normal.
- If you are taking medication please inform us on the day (this will not necessarily prevent you from receiving your tan).
- Please cover open wounds and healing tattoo's/piercings. Please make us aware of areas of particularly dry skin. If you have a condition which causes dry skin I.e. Psoriasis, eczema, we recommend that you do not have the affected areas sprayed.
- A Patch test is needed 24 hours before if you have never used fake tan before OR you must have had a previous patch test applied with St Tropez products and confirm via email/message before the appointment stating this is true (charge for patch test is £5 plus travel and must be booked 24 hours in advance, we will come to you)
- Please do not use any other fake tan products one week before your appointment.

- Avoid other beauty/hair treatments whilst your tan is developing.
- Do not apply any products to your skin whilst your tan is developing
- Avoid activities that make you perspire whilst your tan is developing.
- Do not touch your tan with your fingers whilst it is developing - We take special care to ensure your finger tips and palms stay tan free, when we leave you - its down to you to be super disciplined to keep them clean. (we've all seen bad tan hands ....we don't want that to be you!)
- Wear : Loose, dark clothing, sandals or flip flops after your appointment.
- Keep skin dry and avoid water (stay out of the rain) during the development time - No washing up (Yay)

- Allow the tan to develop over 6/8 hours before showering. (excluding Express tan).
AFTER YOUR TAN HAS DEVELOPED (6/8 hours or 1/3 hours for the Express tan and Bondi Sands)
- Rinse off in the shower until the water runs clear, Pat skin dry, apply light moisturiser.
- You can start using shower gel / body wash on your second shower.
- To care for your tan avoid abrasive washes/soaps
- Avoid oils and oily moisturisers.
- Its a small investment but a good quality moisturiser will result in a long lasting even tan and overall great skin health. We recommend hydrating moisturisers such as St Tropez's Prep and maintain. It prolongs your tan and smells amazing.
- Avoid soaking in chlorine for long periods, this will fade your tan.
- Keep your skin hydrated. Drink water and lightly moisturise to lock in colour.
- Exfoliating from 5-7 days onwards helps your tan fade evenly.
- We recommend the Tan Eraser mitt to remove the last of your tan
